Hinkley Connection Project: temporary traffic management in your area on 18-19 November to enable to enable road condition surveys.

This is advance notice of forthcoming road condition surveys which will have a temporary impact on roads in your area.

On 18-19 November we will be surveying the condition of local roads to understand and agree, working with the local highways agency, whether any repairs will be required following completion of our construction work. To carry out these surveys we’ll use a large vehicle that moves slowly along 100m of road, with each survey lasting approximately 15 minutes.

To ensure the safety of our teams and road users, we will use manned stop/go traffic management whilst the surveys are carried out. We will make every effort to avoid peak traffic times on major routes.

On 18 and 19 November, we will conduct road condition surveys on the following roads:

  • Buttlake Road, Mark – 150m east of Yardwall Road
  • The Causeway, Mark – 190m east of Harp Road junction
  • Northwick Road, Mark– 340m west of junction with Vole Road
  • Vole Road, Mark – approximately 950m south of junction with Pill Road
  • Pill Road, Rooksbridge – approximately 1.5km south of Claire Court
  • Puriton Hill, Bridgwater – approximately 180m northwest of Bath Road
  • The Causeway, Woolavington – 250m North of Huntspill river crossing
  • Burtle Road, East Huntspill – approximately 300m east of Haggetts lane
  • Church Road, Bason Bridge – centred on junction with Factory Lane
  • Southwick Road, Mark – 250m west of junction with Buttlake Road
  • A38 Tarnock Road – approximately 60m East of Chapel Road.
