National Highways operates, maintains and improves England’s motorways and major A roads. This email is to notify you that we’ll shortly be carrying out essential surfacing works on the M5 between junction 23 Dunball and 24 Huntworth.

The work will start on the evening of  Monday 13 June and finish on the morning of  Wednesday 22 June.

The work will be carried out under an overnight full lane closure of the M5 northbound carriageway between junctions 23 and 24, with the work currently programmed as follows:

  • Monday 13 to Thursday 16 June – full overnight closure of the northbound carriageway for 3 nights from 8pm until 6am the following morning.
  • Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 June – full overnight closure of the northbound carriageway for 2 nights from 8pm until 5am the following morning.

There will be a fully signed diversion route in place during the full overnight closure, but please allow extra time for your journey.

We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. We always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes. Please monitor www.trafficengland.com to keep updated.
