Overgrown hedges

The Parish Council are reminding residents to check their hedges and boundary vegetation, especially if they back on to a public right of way or pavement.  You may not walk these areas but there are plenty of residents that do.  Somerset County Council officially state it is the homeowner/landowner responsibility to maintain their property to ensure that no growth exceeds their own boundary area.

Please consider that families with push chairs, mobility aids and scooter users and all pedestrians who use pavements and paths could be injured by overgrown branches and brambles.  If these are not maintained we will contact you to cut them back.  Should you have difficulty in doing this yourself, please contact the Parish Clerk on 01934 221659 or clerk@puritonparishcouncil.org
