Somerset Live, Reach Plc’s leading news website, alongside the company’s print publications in the county, has launched this year’s competition and this time around, Wessex Water is supporting our hunt for Village of the Year.
We are passionate about this county and all the communities that make it so special – both big and small.
We believe there are incredible stories that are happening in every village and we want to shout about them.
And with a chance of winning a £2,000 cash prize towards a very worthy cause of your choice, we hope this is something that will interest you and your community.
Kirsty Scarlett, Wessex Water’s head of community engagement, said: “We’re really excited to be supporting Somerset Village of the Year, which will showcase the great places to live in our region.
“As a local company, we’re out and about in the beautiful villages of Somerset every day renewing pipework and detecting leaks, and we love getting to know our communities.
“But there’s more to Wessex Water than just providing excellent services for our customers.
“That’s why we support the local areas we serve through funding community projects, visiting schools to talk about the water cycle and volunteering for local causes”.
